Atari Punk Kids Toy
Finally got a few minutes to put together an Atari Punk for my kid. I also added in some led indicators with a toggle switch on each. He loves the thing, but I think I need to add some volume control.

RE: Atari Punk Kids Toy
So cool you posted this, I had no idea there is an Atari Punk out there. I don't have 556 but apparently it is just 2 555s in one package so I'll try to make one too at some point. Thanks!

RE: Atari Punk Kids Toy
Two 555's will work great. I may put a kit together if I get some time. It really should cost like $6 max w/o a board. Great fun and it's a really simple project.

RE: Atari Punk Kids Toy
A kit would be awesome. I think kits would sell well and don't necessarily need to be very fancy stuff. Just a thought...
A nice thing though would be if we could somehow make some cheaper boards (for this or other projects) without having to order large quantities. I found some place on the web once (forgot where exactly) where one could order just a board if so inclined but the price per sq inch was pretty high. Anyway, just rambling... Ooh! Synchronizers! |

RE: Atari Punk Kids Toy
So is it basically a noise maker? It doesn't actually play Atari games? Why the Atari name?

RE: Atari Punk Kids Toy
The sounds are a little like the noises made from an Atari / any retro console.
